2006 Steering wheel in pre-2006 models
Has anyone put in a 2006 S2000 steering wheel into a pre-2006 model? If so, is it difficult? And are there instructions online?
Also, does that entail swapping only the middle part or the entire steering wheel?
Thanks.

OK, I will give this a shot.
What you see as the steering wheel, it really two parts. Both are interchangeable with all s2000, all years.
The center is the air bag and it sells for 590.85. The outer ring is the actual steering wheel and it sels for 534.56. So for a cool grand you can have it all. However the 00-03 have one steering wheel design and the 04-06 have another. The airbags have changed a bit of the years. 00-03 had a round H badge, and the 04-05 have a square H badge. The 06 also has a square H badge, but it is differant then the 04-05 badge.
So what was it you liked about the 06 wheel?

It looks like 2004/2005 models have the same steering "ring" as the 2006 models. The 2000-2003 models have a slightly different ring (there are dimples on the ring).
Anyway, the 2006 model's airbag section has a H-emblem without the glossy finish on the top and black background. In other worlds, the H on the 2006 is of the same style as the H-emblems in the front and back of the car, where as the H on the 2004/2005 is of the same style of the H-emblems that one could get in aftermarket places with black/red/yellow/white backgrounds. The H on the 2004/2005, imo, looks a little tacky. I also like the 6 dimples at the right and left of the airbag section.
So, from what you are saying, the airbag is attached to the black triangular section that the H-emblem sits on? I saw Mejestic Honda's parts list, and it seems to suggest the same thing. I was hoping that Majestic Honda's site's diagram is just not very clear, and that one could actually just buy the airbag cover separately from the airbag at a lower cost of -- say, 150 -- instead of the full price of 500 ...
