I just ordered a K&N FIPK from 4FILTERS.com. I'll probably have the car dynoed next weekend with and with out the FIPK.

Does anyone have a dyno of the K&N FIPK that doesn't say "K&N Engineering Inc." at the top? Now that would be useful.

and remember, looking at that chart........the guy says he didnt gan the advertised HP........but K&N never advertised 9WHP over PEAK........ it said around 9 hp over stock at 6500rpms. and it looks like it dose, 4whp Peak isnt bad at all considering the midrange gains..........

Thanks for the dyno, I think I read that thread a long time ago.

Is there any theory as to why the car loses power above 8000RPMS with the FIPK? I can only think of heat soak being more of an issue as the car revs up. If so, with the dyno being stationary and all, that would mean that the "puke n' die" would not be present in normal operation.

They claim 9.5hp for an air filter??? Can't see it without dyno sheets to prove it...
It's not just an "air filter." It's an air Intake "system."
OR what does K&N call it... air charger.

Don't do it. K&N filters let way more dirt through than OEM.
Just a warning.

Thanks for the input everyone. Im looking at black8's pic , and i dont see any holes drilled. Also, after drilling the holes, are there any additional steps to take like putting on nipples so the o2 sensors is a perfect fit? thanks.

I circled where I drill the hole for the temp. sensor(yellow).
K&N will provided you a rubber grommet to put it in hole and you put the sensor inside that hole to make a tight fit.

what dyno shows the FIPK losing powr over 8k? i think on the dyno after a couple passes it might due to heatsoak..... but when you moving down the road it shouldnt be an issue. so no loss of power. correct??

Here is a close up pic. It also show where I have to to use the "cap plug" to sealed off the hole for the air pump.
