Skimmed a few of the pages. Funny to read the posts of some of the owners of early versions whining about how the prefer their old version "raw sportscar", WFT? The oldest version has anti-lock brakes, a power top, power windows, power locks (on a small 2 seater), AC,power steering and the biggest pvssy feature a fully syncromeshed gearbox where any "driver" or dullard who get get remotely close to the gear can "drive" or at least aim the car in the general direction they hope to go in. Remove all the power aids and shift the car with a non syncro gearbox (heel and toe on a trackand do it well ) then you can claim your car is a "raw sportscar" . The old car was not a raw sportscar with all that crap, no matter that your trying to convince yourself that it was.
Power windows and AC on a sportscar and you guys claim it was raw, LMFAO !

For all those complaining that it isn't a sports car anymore because it has traction control and drive by wire throttle and it might as well be an automatic ect.ect. Just keep your current S2000 and go drive it somewhere instead of posting all of this whining. What top end sports car nowadays doesn't have DBW or TC? Why is automatic not a good sports car? Anybody watch Top Gear and see the automatic transmission ,very heavy Mercedes/McLaren SLR keep within one second of the Enzo on their test track?

...If this has a switch, it's probably in that glove box that a previous poster mentioned...

I was really impressed when the S2000 was introduced in 1999 and liked the idea of the face-lift in 2003! The facelift of 2005 made me a bit worried regarding the true character of the S2000 since it started to look less "hardcore" allow me to say. I was concerned about the 2006 model and this time my fears became true! I am not impressed and am worried that the S2000 begins to soften a little!
I will stick with my S2000 MY 12/99 because it was the first one and original S2000 anniversary model for Honda's great History!
I DONT say that I dont like the rest of the MY00-05 but 2006 has made me reconsider my thoughts...
Any way it is just me thinking loud again!

WHOA! Did anybody notice "237 horsepower"?
I also saw that the dashboard dimmer is now where the cruise control on/off switch used to be.
P.S.,
I do like the new wheels and steering wheel. I'll have to see about the seats in person.
