2006 Price Opinion? Is it too high or just right?
Hey guys. I'm in the market for another S2000 and I found one at a dealership near here. Its a 2006 with 400 miles on it. I talked to the internet guy and he gave it to me for 28k out the door. So thats about 25500 + tax + fees. Do you guys think thats a good deal? or should I go lowered than 28K? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

carfax shows that it was purchased on 8/30/2006 at a dealership with only 10 miles. On 8/31/2006 the title was issued with about 250 miles on it. Then on 9/07/2007 the tittle was issued to new owner and then sold back to honda on 10/1/2007.
The reason behind all of this from the sell person is the car was bought by a casino. The person won the car and didn't like it so he went down to honda and traded it in for something else. So yeah thats the story. I will go through the car throughly before purchasing but was wondering about the price. Thanks.

Seems like an OK (not a rip-off, but not fantastic) deal. I got about the same deal on mine in March, but with 3.5k on the clock. Keep in mind that prices will be dropping dramatically soon!

I'm sure since the guy wh won the car didn't actually pay for it, they greased him up and bent him over on the trade in. I wouldn't be suprised if they gave him $23k for that car. I'm sure you have a little more wiggle room.
Look at it like this. The car is used... period. 400 miles or 4000 miles. I say compare the prices for similar 2006's on autotrader and use that as a bargain too. Mileage doesn't mean that much. I mean, what's an extra 10,000 miles on a car?
