Ok, how is climbing in the car with a hard top any different than with the top up???
I cant speak for the hardtop, but I know climbing in the S with the top down is infinitely easier for me, 5'11" 225

Just my luck...as soon as I get the Business Manager (wifey) to approve a hardtop, Honda halts production. I guess my best bet is to call Hardtop Guy and see if he has any Silverstone tops left over. Anybody have a ph# (or dealer name) for Hardtop Guy? Their site is down, and I couldn't get the search function to work. Thx, if you can help.

Just recently bought my hardtop. It is bad ass and IMO is worth every penny. Ride is quieter and it looks sportier but thats not the best part, the best part is the handling is better. My car feels alot more rigid with this hardtop on. I totally recommend it for Any S2000 is you can afford it. Its rare and makes the value of your car go up and protects your rag top from being cut so why not?

Got my hard top on March and have on ever since. You won't regret buying a hard top.

the timing can change from the shape of the lobe on the cam opening the valves sooner and longer with more lift

[QUOTE=daytontp,Oct 6 2005, 07:05 AM] Ok, but the S2000 does not have the variable cam gear like the RSX Type S has.

How did we go from the original topic about the HARDTOP to an argument about VTEC?

Oh yeah, here ..................................................
Also, I was under the impression the S2000 had VTEC not i-VTEC. And, from what I have read, i-VTEC is what has variable valve timing. VTEC just has the 2 stage valve lift.

Also, granted I drive a AP2, this statement is rediculous:
"The Honda is a stone in first gear until the VTEC crossover at about 33 mph, at which time any cop loitering nearby will wonder where all the noise is coming from. "
Wow, talk about picking out an unrelated topic.

VTEC stands for Variable Topic Endless Communication.
