Default 2005 or 2006 S2000

I have decided that my next car will be an S2000 so i need your inpute. I have been a research whore, looking up every possible piece of material on the S2000 and I have decided on purchasing one in the next few months when i graduate college. I cant decide on either a 2005 or 2006. I like the updates and improvements to the 2006 such as the headrest speakers and the VSA...etc. but i am not 100% sold on the DBW throttle system since it is relatively new on hondas. so i am looking for people's opinions on the 2005 and 2006 and which one is their choice. ie. is the 2006+ too tame or are the new improvements just what the S2000 needed to be more livable in everyday conditions?
thanks so much, i really appreciate all of your inpute.

06+ not very mod friendly
06+ i believe is 44 lbs heavier?
clutch delay valve: take it off
turning ratio greater i believe?

I was weighing the same when I was car shopping.

I bought the 05 because:
- I like the 05 wheels more. The 06 wheels look like they have a flower in the middle. I wasn't going to by aftermarket wheels, so this mattered to me.
- 05 seats aren't as durable as 06 seats, but the leather looks waaay better
- 05 is mod-friendly - exhaust, turbo, bucket seats, etc. 06+ is not
- no DBW
- Cheaper

A few 06 features are nice..like VSA, headrest speakers, black metal armrest, and a thermometer.

Also, if you want laguna blue, then you'd have to get the 06.

Thanks guys, yeah i also like the 2005 wheels much better, the 2006 look totally like a flower, I am glad i was not the only only to notice that.
it is a tough decision but atleast i have a few months to make the right one. are there any immediate draw backs to the DBW throttle system?

If you're looking at 05s, you may as well look at 04s - same car, less $.

If you want to keep your S2000 stock, get an 05. If you want mods, get an 06.
