I own a 00 and have test driven the 04. Its up to you. Personally I wouldnt trade my 00 for an 04 unless it was free, then I would resale the newer one and go buy an 03. Drive both and see what you like. Thats the only way to tell.

I think 04 is not that sporty feel compare to 03 s2k on the road.
