2004 S2000, Good Deal?

Two points to stress here that we are debating:
1) Ad velorum tax is due no matter if the car is new or used, and as I understand it, there are ways to get around paying that if your willing to shuffle your title around to different family members, but it's an annual tax that everyone that registers their car has to pay.
2) Even if RSXFlyby buys a new car for $30k, he would have to pay sales tax of 6% on the purchase and a pathetic doc. fee that all dealers charge which ranges from $250 - $400. To me the doc. fee is a joke but the dealers generally will not let go of that. This makes the final price of a new '04 purchased from the dealer at least $32,000.
If he can get the car for $30k or less then he's already saving $2,000 which, to him, may be worthwhile for a car that only has 1200 miles on it.
