SilverS2KAZ,

I really don't know how you feel you are qualified to make such a broad, generalizing statement such as the one you made here. Possibly in California and Arizona finding one at invoice would be difficult but please don't assume that the rest of the states are the same way. They clearly are not.

No one is getting a 2003 for near invoice, so stop telling people this.
Funny you say this considering I just bought my MY03 GPW/Tan for $30,000 even before TT&L. It CAN be done and is really not that difficult to achieve. $29,806 is invoice and I have to say I got pretty "near" that. As a matter of fact it is statements like yours that are what causes rumors as well. Someone is probably going to come on to this site for the first time today, or in the next few days, and they are going to see comments like yours from a current owner and believe them unfortunately. Everyone here wants to keep the resale value on their car as high as possible but age is age and you can't stop that. Do you honestly expect the resale value for MY00's and MY01's to stay above $20k forever? It aint gonna happen.

As far as Thoe is concerned I back his advice 100%. This car is four years old now and, while IMO still one of the best looking cars on the road, it doesn't command full MSRP or a premium over anymore. I too would laugh in the face of anyone still asking MSRP. As a matter of fact during my long and tedious search I had the privilege of laughing at a few "New Car Sales Managers." One dealership near me actually still tried to put a $5,000 "Market Adjustment" sticker next to the window sticker. I pointed to this and laughed myself back to my Accord. The only reason dealers still get away with this in Cali is because people there have WAY too much money and "they have to have it now." As long as ignorant people continue to pay mark-ups they will never cease to exist.

Not to mention ... there are still THOUSANDS of potential buyers of the S2000 that will never see s2ki.com - and will not research pricing on the Internet ... those people will still be paying over MSRP and helping keep resale prices up.

For those of us that have been doing our research for the last year or more, "knowledge is power" ...

It seems that you have bickered about this "enthusiast problem" from near day one...

...when you seem to contradict yourself by wanting to pay below MSRP...

This thread's gotten childish now, Mr soontobeowner .

No, I said "Lots of people have gotten very near invoice, in fact, during this time of the year," (if you're referring to my past statement). You can't put a stop to anything. I backed my words up with past evidence, and if you can't back up your words, don't say anything.
