...and if they reduced the front sway bar that would only create more of a tendency for oversteer, and I would think they would go the other way because of the criticism the car has had levied against it, either fairly or unfairly, I am avoiding that subject because I do not want this thread to turn into what so many others have turned into when the word oversteer has been typed...
So can anybody else substantiate 2002 sway bar diameters?

It looks to me as though another difference is that the anti-theft system is extra for 2002. I noticed it in the brochure, mentioned it to the dealer and he said, "oh really? I will check with the manager." He did and sure enough it is extra. My car will be here in a few days and I will check the paper work to be sure. Can anyone verify this? Another great change is the glass rear window.

The brochure just said "security system" under interior accessories. I am assuming it is the standard security system that detects some one opening doors, banging into the car, etc. The list price was about $750. S2000's from previous years listed the security system as standard equipment. I though the glass rear window was worth the $100 increase over the 2001 price but they must have made up for it by charging extra for the security system. I just seem odd that they started charging for something that was standard in previous years.

I Can't vouch for MY'01s, but my MY'00 didn't have the alarm standard. And I didn't expect the alarm to be standard on my MY'02 either. Why would you think the alarm was standard on the MY'01?

I went to the Kelly Bluebook site http://kbb.com and the information for the 2001 lists "alarm system" under standard equipment. Must be it is an error.
