I had to dial out a little more length in the STB also. It might be evidence of the expansion of the chassis that normally happens between temperature extremes. Or maybe the chassis loosens during the normal operating life of the car?

This is by far the biggest difference I noticed when I drove a Suzuka Blue 02 a few weeks ago. The ride is wayyyyyyyyyy better, handling no difference. Also no differences in clutch, engine, or tranny as compared to my car. I know my car needs new tires, but dammmnnnnnnnn the ride was substantially different in the new car which made me think that they really did make some suspension changes.

We're still waiting for the first 2002 models to reach our shores in the UK, I can;t wait to see some of these detail changes in person and feel a test drive is on the cards

I also test drove a 2002 and did not feel the suspension differences. Remember that many times dealers have the tires underinflated, usually 27-28 psi, theres a big difference in ride quality when you pump them up to 36 psi. Personally I have run as little as 30 psi on the steet and the ride is much less choppy and bouncy, all the while retaining great handling, albeit with lower limits. Also when tires are new and have not been broken in, they are riding on a softer and stickier compound that wears off in a couple of hundred miles, that makes them smoother and quieter.
There seems to be no evidence of a suspension change, at least from what Honda is officially saying.

According to the specs sheet at American Honda the stabilizer bars did not change; they list 28.2 mm F and 27.2 mm R, same as always.

Maybe someone just needs to check the parts sheets and the alignment specs? Anyone?

According to my info:

MY00,01
F - 28.2mm x T5.0
R - 27.2mm x T5.3

MY02
F - 26.5mm x T4.5
R - 27.2mm x T4.5

Don't ask me what the extra stuff is (I haven't a clue). The part numbers are different for the '02.
