Can someone briefly tell me the major/significant differences between a 2001 and 2002/3 model? Also, how much would it cost me to retrofit a 2001 model with xenons (if it's even possible)? Thanks.

 

The only "major" changes were the upgrade to a glass rear window and an improved stereo. There were a few cosmetic changes to the interior, and the suspension was tweaked ever so slightly. Headlights were not changed, so you don't need to retrofit anything.

 

So if the 01 I'm looking at doesn't come with xenons, how much will it cost me to purchase a xenon headlights to replace?
Also, was the glass rear window on the 02? Thanks for your reply.

2001 lights only came with Xenons. No other lights were offered. Yes, the rear glass window came out in 2002.

 

All s2k's have xeon headlights.

02+ had glass window, 00-01 plastic.

The center tunnel was changed from carpeted to cheap leather in 02 as well -- and the shift knob was changed too.

 

No need to do more research other than what I know. The important things about the car (great handling, performance, etc.), I already know.
