Default 2001 S2k salvage title

So There is an S2000 being sold private party it has a salvage title with 87k miles. I know that it was in a front end collision and that the airbags went off, but have been replaced. The person selling it works at an autobody shop so it looks like it's in pristine condition. The seller wants 9500 for the Car.

What do you guys suggest?

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong area (I just joined but you probably already know that).

salvage = no good. i would never buy a salvage unless its like a beater. like $3k. but its up to you. or unless u will keep it forever.

If you drive the car and it drives good then negotiate the price with the seller. Honestly, its your money and your final decision. What color is the car if i may ask.

That's high priced for an 01 that's salvage. You could easily find a clean title for the same money. I deal with salvage cars and if you did not fix it yourself or do not know the seller do not take the chance unless it is a great deal.

IMO, buying a salvaged title is like dating someone that has a kid.

My clean title '00 with 56k was $12k (that was one year ago).

I'd say a big price drop or no deal.
