Folks:
My local Honda dealer was sold to a new owner back in January of 2001. Before the old owner left his dealership, he decided to purchase the '00 New Forumla Red S2000 on the showroom floor. The owner is well into his late 70's and has only driven the S2000 a total of 500 miles. I believe a few Shriner parades and that's about it.
Mr. Alcoke (the current owner) wants to now sell his S2000. He claims that he never drives it as he is always driving around in either his Lincoln Navigator or Corvette convertible. So, the General Manager from the dealer asked me last week what I thought would be a good asking price. My true opinion, you can ask whatever you want!
So, what do YOU think? I'm wondering if there are any others around with such little mileage!
(Honestly, I hope not. . .the S2000 was meant to be driven!)

I just checked Kelly's Blue Book at www.kbb.com, and it said it is worth over $32K. You might be better off getting a MY2002. However, I checked out Edmunds at www.edmunds.com and they say over $27K. However, they don't ask mileage. My guess is somewhere in between those two.

I had mine and it have 700 km now, just less then 500miles i suppose.
I am in Canada, and here most pplz can get the car under MSRP. I suppose if someone were to buy it, i'd take off 3-4000 under MSRP. Canadian that is. As I have a business plan that I might need to get money for.

Well, around here S2000s aren't too cheap... Bob Barbour Honda wanted 32,000 for the 2000 up there when I was in the market... I got my 00 for $32,000 AFTER tax, tags, and eveything else... I would say 29,000 to 30,000.

This reminds me of a car at my local nissan dealer.
It is a 1996 300zx TT...last one of the assembly line, only has 49 miles on it. I went in the other day to check it out. When I asked how much, the salesman said "what it says on the sticker" $46,000....righttttt MSRP for a 7 year old car. I asked how often they changed the fluids and what not. he said "never, this car needs nothing"...ok great a 7 year old 46 thousand dollar car with the original oil....no thank you
As for the 2000 s2k with 500 miles I say not a penny over 25k, I would rather have a 2000 with 5k or so on it...a car that never gets drivin is worse than one with high miles! IMO

I would say upper mid 20's. It has not been broken in yet?! After 2 years, I would have to think it has been above 6k rpms. It is still a two year old car, probably no oil changes or services, who knows if it was garaged. I would have to say that a similar car with 15k miles would have the same value.

I just bought mine two months ago, it also was a 2000 with only 2000 miles on it owned by an older couple. I got it for $28,000, which I think was a great deal. This car, with only 500 miles would sell easily for $29,000.
