Thumbs up 2 questions

I have two questions that someone out there has probably found an answer to. First, I am 5'7" and fairly thin. I end up sliding around in the seat, even having to prop myself up by shoving my elbow against the window. I've been told that getting a harness will require me to get rid of my seat. I don't want to buy two seats, especially when the racing seats are understuffed and not comfortable for long trips. My late mr2 had seats that were perfect for me deeper and with great bolsters. I felt as one with that car and could drive it much harder than 2000 because I didn't have to use my leftarm to keep me centered. Has anyone else had this problem?

secondly, I'd like to know the consensus is in regard to a standing start launch It seems to me that getting the vtech working it's magic at around 6200 rpm would be best, unless there is enough torque to make the 245-40-17's go up in smoke. What do you skites think?

chadcyn, I think you're talking about this:

This may be what you are looking for... I read several comments from people who have used this device and liked it. (Information below was copied from S2KI's "Marketplace".)

Only if you feel like keeping yourself braced against the dead pedal the whole time... but then when you need to use the clutch you're going to lose that "stiffness" you get when you shove yourself into the seat with your left foot against the dead pedal.

A CG-lock would be my recommendation to the thread starter. I'm a smaller guy too (5'9" ish), and the CG lock keeps me sitting up straighter in my seat, making me feel taller than I actually am
