2.2 or built
So i am almost done tearing down my motor, and i would liek to get somting in there asap. but i am not sure what will make more power, looking at either doingf a built bottom end( rods pistons arp's ect) or just gettin a 2.2 from honda. They are both going to come oout ot be about the same. so if anyone was see or has dyno's of either... please help
also.... what is it in the motor that makes it a 2.2 piston size? or crank with the stroke, if i could just boar the 2.0 blaock with over sized pistons like 93mm's to make it a 2.2.... then i would rather do that.
THANKS

he's right. bore is the same on both. in fact, you can't bore the S2000 block to any appreciable degree...you can only bore few thousandths for a rebuild if necesary. All the increased displacement is from the stroke.
It's roughly 84mm in the F20C to 91mm in the F22C.

lol please.... the 2.2 can rev to 8900 also. plaese no post whores...
spin a crate f22 to 8900 and youll be making this same thread faster than you can say "speed holes in my block"
edit: and you said a built 2L. build it for 10k rpm. do you understand r/s ratio and piston speeds?
