I am doing a bit of research before a potential dealer fix.

I have a MY02. Will the new parts be just replacement parts for whatever is available now or parts specifically for TSB#55, which is meant to update the MY00 and MY01?

The '02 transmission already has the "updated" parts. However, replacing your "updated" parts with NEW "updated" parts may fix the grind. As cdelena has pointed out numerous times, it is a problem with stacked tolerances. Basically, even though each individual component may be within spec, the specific combination of those components may be out of spec... or something like that...
