Arrow $175 to fix a ding? paintless dent removal...

I just found this on my car the other day and I'm not sure how it happend... cart maybe? But I went to get an estimate to get it fixed and the guy said it would be $175 for paintless dent removal. I thought it was gonna cost $100 max to fix, but the guy said it was because of where the dent is and they would have to go in from an angle and stuff. Is it really worth $175 to fix?

it's really tough to fix that spot beacuse its double pane metal in that area. i'm not even quite sure they know that and they might not even be able to get it out all the way.

I think he mentioned something like that... like there's 2 layers and before the ding happened it wasn't touching, but now it's touching which would make it harder to get out.

but he did say that if they're not able to get it out, there would be no charge. also, how much is a rear quarter panel? one of my friends works at a honda dealership and maybe it would just be better to go that route.

That rear quarter panel is welded to the frame...

Replacing the rear quarter would cost 7-8 times what the paintless place is asking.

wow, nevermind then... so should i give in and get it fixed for $175? Does anyone know of any reputable places to get dents/dings fixed? I'm gonna call Dent Wizard tomorrow, but I haven't called yet b/c they're on the other side of town.

I would get a few estimates. I have always had several dent taken out for less than $100, but they were note that large. I need to get a ding out of my front fender - looks like someone leaned on the fender to work on the car - I am scared it will be the same price range as yours above... even thought it is tiny.

I think $175 is too expensive. Try another reputable place and get a better quote... IMO I wouldn't pay more than $100 to get that out.

I've seen dents like that taken out for way less than that - call around and get some more quotes.
