16' wheels? thoughts?

I run 18” CCW classics with 245 front and 285 rear pilot SS and like the look, have 17” AP2V1 also with pilot SS 225 front and 245 rear that are OK, and am thinking of a set of AP1 16” with Blizzacs as a winter drift toy for slide up fun when hardtop is on and a sunny with new snow day happens.
Hate the cant drive below 45 degrees winter time blues, have no inside storage so parked under a tent in winter doesn’t help car as much as driving would, no salt used in my area.

I loved my JDM BBS OEM 16 inch rims, it was the light weight that I liked most. A lot of auto-x guys run 16 inch rims and do really well with them. There is a thread in one of the forums devoted to 16 inch rims .

FWIW. You may want to consider the tire height, circumference and revolutions per mile will be changed affecting handling and odometer reading(s).

I have a set of Ap1 OEM, AP2V1's, AP2V2's, SSR Type C's, Advan RZ's and a set of Advan RG's and no thoughts of selling any of them. I did sell my set of AP2V3's last fall and not regretting the decision.

JMO
Using a tire calculator the AP1 front-205x55x16 has height of 24.88'' and AP2 front has height of 24.62'' a difference of -0.26'' while the AP1 speed reads 65 mph, the AP2 reads 64.3 mph. The circumference difference is -0.81 requiring 8.49 more revolutions per mile.
The figures are less on the rear, the AP2 circumference difference is -0.44” and 4.59 more revolutions per mile.
Assuming we are only using stock sizes and not going to a much greater size. Maybe I am wrong and need to look at it differently.
Thank you,
Michael
