That is the worst comment I have ever read here on S2KI.

SiCK HONDA put it perfectly. The range on this sucker is awesome and will save you so many times. I love mine.

Gears, b/c obviously...

Gears $600 + C/T differential $400 +Installation $400 + Parts $125 + Yellow Box $100 = $1000

Maybe you could just buy the gears and set them in your trunk 'til you get next years return.

gears $600 + installation $300 max + yellow box $100 = $1000, then you bolt it up to your car yourself with basic tools and a strong arm

Its your money, and all of the toys that people have mentioned here are really nice. But if you don't have any investments yet then this would be an excellent starter amount. Get an online-trading account and start playing with it. Put in more when you can and take some intelligent risks and before you know it you will have a lot more than just 1k to play with.

I invested that way for just a couple of years, and last year I was able to buy a new S2000 with just investment profits. It was a reward and an incentive to keep going, and I still have the investment base that generated those profits. I am not rich, yet, but every time I get in that wonderful car I get a real taste of what being rich really means.

Id get either an Amuse Titan single exhaust or a Toda header. But you might have to pay an extra 100-200 on top of your tax return for both.
