That's like people saying, "I'd never rent an apartment... you should just BUY a place."

We all know people who lost thousands of dollars in property value (that they wouldn't have if they had rented).

If you can count on the market, buying a car makes better sense. If you can't, then all bets are off.

I would NOT buy a GM / Ford / Chrysler car right now. If they go belly up, resale could tank. I wouldn't want a long-term commitment with those turkeys.

I paid $299/ month on a 3-year lease for my 2006 S2000. Honda often offers a great deal on their close out models, just keep checking; however, June may be a bit early. There should be a good inventory '09 S2000's by June, as February will be the last month of production. Unfortunately, some dealers will tout that they are "collector's items", which may hurt your timing in June, but the prospects for good deals will improve later in the year (winter).

actuallt leasing a car (if you have money) is great, when you get bored of the car after 3 years, or the new model comes out, perfect , however when you fall in love with the S2000, you just have to keep it forever

Its not an s2000, but I leased a loaded 08' maxima for 365 a month no money out of pocket besides 1st months payment with a MSRP of 36,200.

I went to get a trade in idea on the max, BMW offered me 16k for my car, not even a year old. Am I happy I leased the Maxima, I say hell yea! If I brought it I would be crying right now!

Leasing is always not a bad thing
