'08 stripped CR at Concord, CA Honda
A heads up to anyone looking for a CR in Norcal. When I bought my wife a new Christmas present (a CR-V) at Concord (California) Honda a couple days ago, I talked to the GM about a blue CR that I'd seen sitting in the showroom for a while. He said it was a special order that they'd had it for about 300 days. It's a stripped (no AC/radio) blue '08 that's been kept mostly on the showroom floor (I can vouch for that one). He said he'd "dump" it for $30k, and would throw in the hardtop cart as well. I haven't priced a NorCal S2000 since I bought mine in '05 for $29.8k, so don't know how competitive this price is. I think they're very motivated, so if you're in the market, you might be able to talk them down even more.
Hope this helps someone...

The CR is rare enough that it will hold just a little more value than base models as time goes on. JMO.

I've seen CRs with AC and radio go for $30k, so without will still be a hard sale. If I remember correctly, Honda originally stated it would build 3,000 CRs, then revised that to 1,400 after no one was buying, and I'm not sure its even made that many as they just don't sell.
Not including the soft top is the big limiting factor imo - Honda America should have sold it with the soft top like in the rest of the world.

Not being able to have a convertible at the press of a button is a big turn off. The type S styling has grown on me actually. I think quite a few people would spring for the type S with convertible top over the stock S. Too bad the CR is limited by its hardtop.
