The DBW seemed horrible in my TL after I took delivery... especially after just selling the S2000. but now, after the system has adapted/learned my style of throttle input, it has been AWESOME. The car drives like... MY car. I don't want to go back regular, it can't predict my inputs...

Hm. So you don't think the '06 DBW lag will be an issue at all?

DBW=Drive by wire. The throttle is electronically controlled instead of mechanically, so the fear is that when you hit the gas the system will lag before it reacts.

On another note, isn't the new NSX DBW, or hasn't it been for a few years? I'd assume (hopefully) that the NSX DBW is designed for for 'sporty' driving whereas the ones in the aforementioned luxury cars is more for comfort. I'd also assume (again, hopefully) the S2K's is based on the NSX. I have no experience with either system though, so discount everything I said if you wish.

Don't know what all the hubbub about the MY06 is all about...this is a limited production car, not to be manufactured after '01...'er, ummm, '02...make that '03...

Well, anyways, how can there POSSIBLY be an '06 to concern ourselves with as owners of a limited production car that was to stop production 4 years ago...'er, ummm 3 years ago...make that 2??

When somebody finds a road test of an 06 or has driven one extensively enough to get a good feel for the car, please post the link/comment here cuz I am DYING to know if the DBW thing is a big deal or not.

Just a note: every engine is taken to redline on the dyno at the factory before shipping. Let's not sweat over VTEC before breakin too much.

... I still wouldn't buy a test driven car myself.

I'm thinking of going to the dealer and test driving one, probably tomorrow.

I trust Honda not to put a shitty DBW system. I don't know what the fuss is about. Enzos use DBW, must have done it for a reason.

Watered down this watered down that, many people on here just don't want to accept that the car has advanced and evolved beyond the model they own.
