no matter what you do for break in, keep in mind that the day the car got to the dealership some ass in the service department took it to redline before you ever saw the car.

Fyi:
According to Automobile mag, DBW in the new Civic Si is "overboosted, lacks on-center feel, doesn't provide enough feedback, and becomes annoying in real-life driving".
I'm going to assume this is the same system that's in the S, albeit tuned differently, so its not an answer to the original question, but something to think about.

the car had a hand full of miles on it before i drove it, beleive me i can almost guarntee the car was ripped on before i even saw it.
and everyones conception in breakin in a car is different, 80 percent of piston ring setting happens with in the first like 10 or 20 miles the car is driven, and ive read a million articles saying to drive it like you want it to perform, and ive seen a bunch say drive it slowly... with NO evidence of either one being better...

I thought someone would have posted this by now, but I guess not ..
Its in reference to the new Laguna Blue Pearl color for '06...

In any case, hopefully this helps to answer some questions on the DBW. I'd recommend everyone take a test drive of a '06 DBW S2000 before they start to make assumptions or comments about how the DBW will negatively impact the '06 S2000s ... I personally haven't driven one, so I won't comment.

I haven't had a chance to beat on the car and probably won't as my manager has a pretty tight leash on new cars esp. the S2000. If anyone is in the area, Shockley Honda in Frederick, MD has a laguna blue pearl '06 S2000 sitting in the rear lot.
