What about 2004's, why would they leave out 2004 and put in 2005, it's the same car??

I just took mine in a couple of weeks ago for my oil change and I told them about the burs on the arms and how they are starting to fray the top. One mine ('07 13,000 miles) you could start to see a little bit of fraying. I told them how this is a problem with the top and how I had read about it online. I thought about fixing it myself but that it would be better for the dealer to see it and fix it, that way if it does rip in the future they can't say it was my fault. As it turned out they found the TSB and grinded and painted the bar. They also took some pictures. I feel better that they are the ones that fixed it, this way if there are any more problems with it in the future they can see in their records that it has been a problem in the past and hopefully work in my advantage for a warranty top replacement.
It is nice to see that the TSB posted also covers the area by the latches.

Nice Nice!! Absolutely a good news for us.
Just went down to the garage and check my top, it doesn't torn yet, but I can see the bar underneath the top is starting to wear my top as I always close the top when I'm parked.
Keep us posted.

I don't think the TSB covers the whole problem, though. My roof developed holes from the hard plastic bits near the top rear of the side windows. Fabric should be reinforced where the edges of those plastic pieces rub.

bigger question is why not bring it back to 2002. Same top. Why only 2005. Honda's answer is that they must have seen a higher incident rate during those times.
