This is my first post, and my first visit to this very cool site, so please forgive me if I am asking a question that has been beaten to death already.
I am going to buy an S2K in the next few days and after I test drove an 03 and then an 05 it did appear that there was a difference in the available power at the low end. However the two drives took place at two dealerships some distance from each other due to the fact that only one had any 04 or 05's on the lot, thus it was hard to really compare.
Could one of you who has really had a chance to test this difference advise me if it is worth the extra cost to get an '04 to take advantage of that new configuration? There are plenty of fine '01-03 models available at much better prices than by limiting myself to an 04 or 05 of course, and I wonder if it is really worth it. If the consensus is that it is a better engine I will gladly pay the extra money for the newer model, but I have never had anyone who really knows these cars to weigh in on that issue.
Thank you for your replies. I look forward to owning one of these marvelous machines very soon and enjoying this site.
