I hope the tranny has never been changed! . It has 30k miles, the only time I noticed the buzz was after about a dozen vtec's in a row. It always seems like after I drive it hard or go on a canyon run theres all these new problems, buzzes, rattles. I dont know what to do.

The clutch buzz addressed by TSB054 happens only from about 4k rpm down to 3k rpm. DECELERATION only; if you hear the same sound while accelerating it is something different.

My '00 sounded like $&1t; people would ask "What's wrong with your car?" I replaced the clutch disk about 7k miles ago and all is well so far; of course, none of the OEM disks buzzed in the first 36k miles or Honda would have had to replace them under warranty. (Actually I replaced mine at 35k miles, but the car was 6 years old.) So it remains to be seen whether the new disk fixes the problem or not.

B. Money: with all of the problems you've reported on here over the last few weeks, I'd unload that lemon immediately.

lol ah I love my baby! I think (hope) most of the things iv reported are normal things that im just paranoid with. hope...I mean the buzz was exactly like what has been said, under deceleration 2,3 gear all that same rpm range. so hopefully thats what it is and thers no harm done.

BUT the other buzzing im getting only with the AC on at 8k.. is another thing

edit: I must also say tho that you guys are great. All the help and feedback has been so awesome. If i never google searched s2k forums I dont know what i would have done

Funny I now have 34K miles on my 02 and have changed out my transmission to an AP2 out of a 2005. Miles mean nothing when it comes to this car

while I have this thread, can anyone tell me what could possibly be causing a loud rattle/buzz at about 8k rpm at WOT with the AC on? Thanks guys!

and another question lol. What causes the master cylinder to wear out so quickly and how can I prolong its life? TIA.
