I'm seriously considering an S2000 and would like to hear opinions on whether to go with an '02 or wait for an '03.

Also, does anyone know what changes are coming in '03 models?

Thanks,

It all depends on how long you want to wait. No words yet on what changes will be for the '03. The changes to the '02 were minimal, but worth it to some folks. With changes to the '02, there may be no changes to the '03--what's the difference between the '00 and '01, the wind deflector? How long can you hold your breath?

It all depends on what color you want! If you want Silverstone instead of Sebring plus some interior color combo changes. I think that will be the only changes. Also depends on the availability of the color you want whether you can get an 02. My color choice has changed from Silverstone to Suzuka Blue which is currently available however the dealership I have a Purchase Order through won't get one till March 03 anyway.
And yes, for Suzuka there is a list that long, at least here.

Which ever way you go, good luck on your decision!!!

Thanks,
03 probably won't has too many big changes from 02.

I suggest buy a 02 and then trade in for a 04 improved S2000.

what changes are they making to the 04? The S is such a nice car that changes are really unneccesary. Aside from a few minor style changes, its all been the same, basically since its debut.

From things that I've seen here, white will have a tan leather interior. I think they should have tan for the black, red, and yellow. I think that would look sharp. IMHO

i can almost bet that no knew changes are coming...just look at all the other models in every other generation...

First two years come out the same and than the second 2 years change a few things here and there like bumper and lights but nothing major...now for '04 i bet they're gonna redo more but defenetly not '03.

I would think a horsepower increase will come in 2004. With the acuras and hondas coming out in 2003/2004, the S2000 will need some extra numbers to keep its place in the Honda?acura lineup. I could see a horsepower increase of 20-30 horses. How they would do this? Thats I don't know, we can pray for more displacement, but other than that, what else can they do?
