A friend of mine owns a Infiniti dealership & also deals in high end cars. He bought a Silver 01 911 TT with 125 miles on it & a White 01 M3 Conv. with 1080 miles on it. He allowed me to drive both of these world class cars. Keep in mind I have only had myS2K since 8/2 so it hasn't even seen Vtec yet. The 911 was blindingly fast but the interior was even more dull than the S2000 has been accused of, which I don't agree with mind you. The shift linkage was way sloppy & cumbersome compared to the S2K. The M3 was a little better in the way the interior was laid out. The shift linkage was better as well. The glaring difference between them & an S2K was that I didn't feel one with the car like I do the S2K. The Porsche drew a lot of attention however but not because it was recognized at the TT but because it was a Porsche. The Bimmer didn't as much as get a second look this being unlike the S2K. All this said I can now say honestly I wouldn't want either of those cars over my S2K especially at the expense they are commanding, 128K & 66K respectively. S2000's have a charisma that few if any other car posses.

 

Keep in mind you're in Tallahassee, where F150s and Jeep Wranglers get more respect than almost anything foreign.
