Oh, I forgot to answer the question about my experience with the car.

I drive it hard but take good care of it, and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Zero problems sence new, in spite of LOTS of hard driving.

No not all 00-01 will have high miles. I just picked up an 01 with only 33K original miles from the original owner. Deals are out there one just has to be patient and look for the deals. Most of the 01 I was seeing were in the 45-55K miles range, of course as stated there are a bunch of high mileage 00-01 out there as well. I would think the age of owner and how they took care of the car plays a much bigger factor then the amount of miles.

Good luck with the search...

thanks guys can u guys approximate the what range is considered low mileage for 00-01 and what is considered high mileage?

seems like now i'd pay a lil more like 16ish for a 02-03 , do u guys think its a better move?

what about a 00 with a rebuilt engine? will that be better or worse? the clutch buzz , weak diff and plastic window seems a bit bad. i dont know since i dont own one yet but would like to hear more opinions to decide on my first s2k
