Thanks for the quick replies. Guess the '02 main diff is the glass rear window....hrmmm

None of them have heated seats? Oh man, does anyone here drive their s2k as a daily driver in the winter? Be interesting to see how they do.

And for the wheels, what offset am i looking at for a 17x7 or 18x7.5 rim? Are they the same for front and rear? I'm going to be DUMPING this car if i get it, so I would love to have #'s that dont give me rubbing! (so not too wide) thanks!
I bought a cheap seat heater / massager for $20 at target. They have better ones than the one I bought but so far it's been fine. Just about any would so. Th only problem is that I have to slide it into place evertime I get in the car.

No...03' is the best year.

To the original thread starter, (02-03) s2k's are the best in my opinion. Several ningling (but not too serious) problems were addressed by honda, such as the clutch buzz, 2nd gear grind found in earlier models. There is also a different ecu, and allegedly the 02 + dyno slightly more whp than the earlier models. They were updated with small cosmetic changes, and subtle ones interior-wise, which 'modernise' the little roadster that little bit more. Otherwise, rear glass-window, and a slightly revised suspension so theres a less likely chance of you losing the rear-end...and we have a winnAr in my books

Before attaining my s2k I managed to test drive the earlier models too...so make of that what you will.

At the end of the day, I always say any s2k is a good s2k...so you can't go wrong with any year.
Had a question somewhat relevant to the years of s2000 in that about how pre '02 tsb's etc. Are tsb's free, or are they fixed for free (the grinding, clutch chatter, etc)? If you get a pre '02 from a certified dealer is it taking care of ,the tsb's?

It all depends on the dealer. TSBs are not the same as warranty work, so there is no "requirement" that a dealer MUST perform the service. It is authorized by the local service manager, so if you have a good relationship with a service manager of a Honda dealer, he/she will approve all the TSBs for you that he/she deemed appropriate for your car. If approved, TSBs are usually done for free. Buying a (certified) used does not mean all the TSBs are taken are of.
