If you're talking GTech times again, just stop right there.
Actually it's a good thing to bring up. Each magazine uses a different devise calibrated in a different way. This produces different results. Each car has a driver that weighs a different amount. This produces different results. Each run is done in different weather conditions. This produces different results. Each car is tested at a different altitude. This produces different results. Not every car has been broken in. This produces different results. Each car may have different tire wear. Each car may have different tire temps. Each car may have different tire pressure. Each car may be at a different operating temperature. Each car may have a different amount of gas in it. This....
Get the picture? The car goes between 5-6 seconds 0-60, which is a poor measure of performence in the first place.

anyways, yes you have a great explination for varying mag times. we all know mag times can be notoriously off for the reasons you stated.
however, that said, I think REALISTICALLY is the word he was looking for. and realistically, you should be able to get a 5.2-5.4 second 0-60 in any S2000 depending on your driving skill. average is probably closer to 5.5-5.6

You didn't even get it into vtec and you compare acceleration? Nice
one is launching, one is not. BIG difference.

lol you also should have pointed out he said that the 5-60 time is a good indicator of the 0-60 time. the two really have nothing to do with each other.
