*Rant* Lowballers
#22
I think I'm just ticked because I had to take a lot of time out of my busy schedule to cater to this person that made it seem like he was all interested and just simply wasted my time.
I said firm, I showed him the wheels, and everything about it. And he agreed.
On top of that, he brought his friends, I think maybe to say some bad stuff about it to so he will have "backing" for his lowballing offer. I don't know, maybe I just ran into a bad bunch.

3) I was being nice to him since he sounded sincere and wanted the wheels and was all like, "Yeah, I'll take them for $xxxx". Then he tried to haggle after after set the deal.

I think low balling is okay over the net/phone, but the price should be set and honored when you drive out to meet the person.

i have a rant that is slightly tangent: i hate it when i read an FS on something im interested in, where the seller prices the item at 90% of retail and loudly warns "NO LOWBALL OFFERS". and there are multiple examples of these.. and i feel almost offended when reading them
i used to hold great football season tickets to my college team, and when i wasnt able to attend a game, id practically give them out at half face-value and 1/3rd of street-value. i figure - buyer and i are enthusiasts, why not share the tickets that i have no use for with other people with like interests?
then there are those who try to pawn off unused items at same price i can buy new straight from a retailer, or a used 200$ intake for 180$, for example. i dont care if its in perfect condition... used is used. now i realize that the asking price is not necessary the selling price, and that its we're still under free enterprise... what im saying is that dismissing potential buyers with the lowball perjorative is a really surly and undiplomatic way of conducting business
