FYI, I inquired about the S2000 on Autotrader and I got this. Any thoughts or similar experience with this guy?

you can contact a lot of people to confirm who I am but if you don't trust me please don't waste my time. I will look for a serious buyer.

Who can I contact in the military to verify that you are who you truly are? Who is your superior officer?

Hello,

Thanks for your interest in my 2005 Honda S2000 listed on Auto Trader. My name is Craig Hicks and I am a Air Force Reservist Combat Medic/Medical Technician. Currently I am on Active Duty Orders in Iraq. As I have nobody who can handle the deal for in US I have left the car at the AutoTrader Shipping Center in New York. They will handle delivery to your location and the financial transaction. The vehicle is in perfect condition both mechanically and cosmetically. Was never involved in any accidents and the engine runs fine. It has 76,016 miles. The car is fully loaded with all options and looks and drives like new. The title is clear (no liens) and I have all the service records and paperwork. I am the original owner. If you are ready to buy the car please email me your full name and shipping address so I can arrange shipping/pick up and set up a secure payment transaction with Autotrader. The total price including shipping and transaction fees is $17,000. The Vin# is JHMAP214X5S004371.

SSgt Hicks, Craig
US Air Force

Auto trader dosent offer this as far as i am aware. Some advice. You should never buy a car you can not go and see before you hand over the cash.

Fraud. Take everyone's advice and walk away. Besides 76K miles in three years is a ton of driving in an S2000... especially in the cold states where most people store them away.
