You're still under warranty, you're getting a TSB done, clutch wear is a moot point because of this. They either replace it under warranty/TSB, or you'll call AHM.
I did mine at 36,400 (told them about it at 35,900), all was replaced (5 parts in all) free of charge under the TSB.
If you pay a dime for this, you're screwing yourself over. Also mention to Honda that they're trying to charge for warranty/TSB work (double-dipping).

Something is not right here. I don't think your service advisor is telling you the truth. Many people including myself have had the clutch replaced once or even twice as in my case at much greater than 25,000 miles. Run, pickup your S, and go to a different dealer. Good luck.

Who's your service adviser? I've had good luck with SM Honda in the past, but it does depend on who you talk to there. It's true that their sales dept. is a rip, but I definitely trust their technical competence as far as performing the actual service work.

That price is way to high, just like everyone already posted. When the dealer was working on the TSB my service advisor called me to ask if I wanted them to install an aftermarket cluth (Star stage III w/ lightweight option) assembly instead of the OEM one. All I had to pay for was the parts, they took care of all the labor charges. With this they also installed a Toda flywheel and all was completed for under $1000, parts only.

Why dont you just go with an aftermarket clutch. It can be cheaper than OEM, but for sure any clutch but OEM should be a lot better. Even the 02 clutch is still pretty crummy
