Street racing forum??????

there is a big difference between dusting someone off the line, or dropping a gear and pulling them on the freeway and going 170 mph on public roads repeatedly.

Just a little over the top for public roads...I drive on those roads too.

Get a clue?!? You come into a section of the forums about street encounters and complain about people racing. I think you are the one who needs the clue...or better yet a life.

the law of averages
...says that in every group of people there is atleast one who can't get right.

When I had it dialed in, it made 422 rwhp and that was after repeaded pulls. It was pretty hot then.

I just had it on the dyno again at a dyno day and this time, it only put down 400 rwhp but it was really hot outside. I started to wonder about the conditions of this dyno day but then I noticed out of four 03 and 04 Cobra's, only one made more than 400 rwhp. And slightly modified Cobra's always make between 420 and 465 rwhp with basic bolt ons. So, go figure.

As far as racing on the street is concerned, I understand and appreciate anyones concern for safety. But, I can say that as bad as it is, it's also done in about as good conditions as you can get. There's always a bunch of my friends behind me blocking traffic, (which, there isn't usually much out anyhow). This is on a straight, empty, 4 or 5 lane highway at night. Blasting up to a 130 takes absolutely no time. I mean, it's pretty instant and it's a FAR cry from what this car is capable of. Remember, ZO6's don't weigh much. Infact, they weigh about 200 lbs more than an S2000, so they accelerate pretty damn quick.

For those who just read the numbers above and wonder why this car is fast, there are two main reasons. I don't hide anything.

1. Weight. The Murcielago that I race weighs over 1,000 lbs more than I do. The 350Ztt w/ his stereo, ground effects and big rims weighs about 400 lbs more than me too.

2. Traction. Most the high horsepower cars I race are rolling into the throttle. Some of them have to roll into the throttle even kind of slowly to maintain traction. I don't. I rev it up, pop the clutch at the same time I floor the gas. It's like getting a good launch while drag racing. And yes, those 315-30-18 drag radials are on the car for that single purpose.

I hope that answered some questions.

Oh, and yes, I'm looking forward to Liem's turbocharged S2000 Joe!!!
