Default ZO6 vs Lamborghini Murchielago and TT 350Z (long)

This actually happened a little while ago but I've been asked why I haven't posted it, so here goes.

On a previous race posted by someone else, I got into a race w/ a 440rwhp TT 350Z. I don't remember the title of that post and I'm too lazy to search for it, but it was the one where a bunch of S2K's also raced my brother in his S4. They were blocking traffic while the 350Z and I were going at it. Long story short, I beat that Z by about a car and a half.

Well, he had complained (afterwards, of course) that his car wasn't running very good and he needed further tuning. So a month later he shows me a dyno sheet where he had dialed the car in some more and now it's making 490rwhp. I didn't have the car with me that night, but I kept in the back of my head. Two weeks later, I found out that he had a race set up with a Lamborghini Murchielago. Rumor had it that he had even more horsepower than even the 490 now and they were going to go at it on the freeway.

I thought this would be a good time to show up. Naturally, I get there and they set a race up. My S2K buddies on this board were more than willing to block traffic again (thanks guys! ). I mention to the guy w/ the 350Z that I was going to follow them out and maybe see how my car does against them. Even though I had beat the 350Z before, this guy is totally convinced that I'm not even worth his time now. Needless to say, I didn't mention the fact that I just added the cam and the MTI heads to my car and had it dialed in again.

So, the first thing I do is see what happens between those two. They actually ran each other about 5 times. Those cars were damn close. It seems whoever got even the slightest jump was the winner. Neither of them pulled the other very hard at all.

I get a chance to roll up next to the Lamborghini and we nail it. I jump out half a car and pull just a bit. From about 50 mph to about 120, I gained another car, so by the time I got to about 130, I had about a car and a half. The guy in the Lambo gave me a big thumbs up too.

I slowed down and got next to the 350Z TT. I'm pretty sure he was like "WTF?!?" after seeing that. He didn't even want to go! But, I persist and after about 4 miles of staying next to him (that's a long time when you think about it) I finally hear him downshift. We both nail but again, I immediately pull a half a car. Same thing happened w/ the Lambo, I get to about 130 and I have another car on him. We slow down and he just pulls off the freeway.

This was probably the 2nd best night the car has been in. This leads me into my next post.....

130mph is not very fast if they did a good job of blocking off traffic

i used to hit 170 like 30 times a week for a good 3-4 month period without a single incident

When tracks start offering the standing mile diehards like myself take it off the street. Life is too short to live a quarter mile at a time.
