Hey hey thought I'd join in the convo here. Great vid by the way Sakred.
Wisconsin from my experience at lacr I would say the S is very much effected by high altitudes. At about 3000ft elevation, and as bad as the weather is there the car always feels nothing like it should. VTEC defenitly does engage later. I am not sure when on mine, but I believe for 9K it was engagiong at about 6.5-6.8(correct me if I'm wrong 9K). I have ran sakred there twice, and we went 1-1. My best time there so far has been 14.5, but I have had a friend hit 14.4(I guess he went on a good night). As bad as the track is, it really is a great track because by the end of the night you could have gotten in atleast 20-30 runs.
Sakred's car is really quick, I've ran other Z's there and have beaten them all by 1.5-2 cars. I beat sakred by about half a car, and the next run he did the same to me.
I do have a couple mods though, so we'll see how they help out next time I'm out there. I'm thinking of buying the mugen cooling mods to help my engine stay cooler in that desert heat.

I think the night I saw you and hammad+9k out there, it was pretty cold no? However, I remember everyone complaining about the launches they were getting/traction. It was the night when the scoreboard looked like you hit a 14.1 I think?

its wierd though even when its cold up there its soo dry that the time dont get much better. but yeah the score board is all screwed up so a 14.9 looks like a 14.4. i never ran a 14.1 my 03 car ran a 14.2 stock. my 05 is weaker for some reason.
