just wondering if anyone has raced a wrx yet on the roads
just wondering how a stock s2000 v a wrx who would win

 

I beat an S2000 when it was wet outside. Not fair I know!

 

lol well what happens when you race one when it is dry outside

 

Should be close cause I got mods now.

 

But stock, an S2000 should take a WRX especially if its a long race (90+)

S2000 stock traps 97-100
WRX stock traps 93-95

My WRX traps 97-100 now.

 

S2K v. WRX (stock/stock) is a damn close race...

I've seen 0-60 times @ 5.2s for both cars...

 

Had a chance to race one.

The WRX really impressed me. We raced from 50mph to 100mph and I had about a car length on him (maybe a little less).

The funny part about the entire race was how quiet his engine was compared to mine screaming to 9K.

A lot closer than than you'd think. Granted that the one my friend has is the previous model which is good 150kg lighter (ie. same weight as an S2000) but here's how it went:

Its not even a contest once the mods start...

Nothing against S2000s, they are nice, but not easy to get power out of...

 

Haha, not even close man, the numbers don't really matter, it's all, well, almost all, about the driver. I raced my buddy's white wagon WRX from 60-120, wow was it a good race though. It was awkward double clutch for me, since I had to go to third. When I did he was pulling a little away, I was like whoah, no way! But that only lasted about two seconds, then I had to shut it down with my high RPM POWER!!!

Good race, but seriously guys, quit lookin at numbers all day, go out and mess with some. It's really, really fun.
