Street results are too variable. If I'm loafing along in my Z06 in 6th gear and I just give it gas instead of shifting you'll kick my @ss. You might think I'm racing because my car is accelerating but it wasn't really a race. A car that's a whole second faster than yours in the 1/4 can still blow a shift and lose.
There are couple of cars that S2000's traditionally love to beat because of rivalry or big mouths AND their not really being as fast. Last generation Mustang GT's are a perfect example. Neons (before the SRT-4). Unmodded 3000GT's, GS-T's, ... cars like that. You need a list?

Because the Z is very convincing after 100.
in a 1/4 mile race 350Z and S2000 are very even. no one can say one car is faster than the other. in a stop light race, the 350Z is actually at a DISADVANTAGE. the S2000 is a bit faster before 60 due to its gearing.
and before you say something about the 350Z's torque making it launch faster, both cars are capable and have had drivers run 2.0x 60' times.

yeah the S2000 pulls on the neon in the lower mph before 60. the neon will pull a little back then til about 90, and then it's the S2000 again.

As far as S2k vs tre-fitty-z, its about as even as you can possibly get.
