The idea of going back to stock rear end has crossed my mind. Although, in theory the 4.77's should be faster than stock up until I hit my top speed.

I have a turbo S that does just fine at the drag strip and awesome on the highway. Actually I just bought a new turbo. I guess I cant defend anyone because shit happens there is always someone out there faster. If you have the money to turbo an S though do it right. I have lowered compression at 8:1 pistons rings and rods with a sleeved block. So you can have an S and be just fine. It runs over 20psi just fine which is good for the highway. There is very little that can compete from a roll. But on the track 15 psi is a little more conventional so you dont spin so much. I have some traction issues but nothing i cant stand. I have 18x9 with 265. My 1/4 was at a 12.2 before the new turbo which is a 50 trim stage 3 wheel and 63ar. IT maxes out at 450hp which is more then enough for an S. I have spray on top just a 35 wet shot to cool things and add power. Needless to say the new turbo spools quicker and flows much more air meaning the boost hits and pulls a lot harder. So if I can get traction should get out of the 12's easily. there is hope

i guess one guy on the srt4 forums was pushing 500+plus at the wheels before he blew his engine, all on stock internals. that's not bad. imagine when he builds his engine.
