I say wait and get a C5. I have seen some going very cheap $14-15K lately.

i WILL get a FRC, i just have to wait a year or so. but i HATE waiting. for now im just looking for some cheap speed to tie me over till then. then i can use the cheap speed as a daily while i try to replicate your FRC, but in white.

Yeah, be patient and you can get some really good deals. I just bought a 2003 ZO6. This one is red and is twin turbo. Got it for $30k.

I'll keep you posted on another thread, I don't want to hijack this one.

Version...Im sure your aware of it, but a white FRC will be hard to find, their pretty rare. Lol and second, I hope you have deep pockets if you want to replicate my car I'd say with the price of the car and all the mods you'd be looking at $55-60K

i have a paint job figured into my vette budget, i seem to only find black and red FRC for sale, and as much as i love a red vette, i want to do mine like that dude on LS1tech, "v-seriestech" i think his cars is named the stormtrooper. its wicked.

i seriously plan on LS6 intake(if i dont get a new car) vararam, heads(havent figured which ones) KOOKs LTs, ORY into a corsa catback, cam(havent picked one yet, but i want to rev 7k, and have a disgustingly wicked midrange to match it).

i figure that should pop me over the 400rwhp mark pretty easily, maybe into the 450whp range, depending on the H/c.

my performance goals are. 120-125 traps. tickle 10's on MT's.

If you're single, I can tell you that chicks really like the S2000 a lot more than the Vette - which has got that whole "chest hair and gold chain" midlife crisis image goin' on.

Actually both.......One buddy has an 02 Vette with SC and about 525-550 whp and the other has the Camaro with turbo and about 550 whp. It's the same outcome with both when I run them. Oh, and another buddy has the GTO with the LS2 and is turbo'd putting down about 600-625 whp and I pull him by about 5 cars also everytime, but that car weighs about 3900 lbs.
