turbo S vs. modded 335
So I finally got to run a local who got a 335i coupe after his S got totaled.
He has one of the tuner/chip things for it, and says he's making approximately 350 whp.
We had 2 runs, one from 50ish, and one from 35ish, both are out of my car's powerband, and we both had a passenger.
1st run from 50, he honked it off, we both floored it, was walking away in 3rd, and 4th was a gallop. My passenger said we had 5-6 cars on them by 117ish.
2nd run from 35. He honked it off and went, I zoned out for a second, and when I came back to the real work, hit the gas. he had a car to a car and a half by the time my S was accelerating. We immediately stopped his pull, and by 60 we were ahead. 3rd continued to increase the distance, stopped accelerating by 100.
Fun runs.
On the way back from grabbing some dinner, ran across a 997 gt3, but couldn't get him to play
On Monday, I missed out on enticing a Gallardo to stretch its legs.

What kind of power you making?....I'm curious since I have both cars but haven't them against eachother yet my 335i has the jb3 intake and dps....my s2000 is 400rwhp vortech'd they pull completely diff downlow the torque of the BMW is awesome but I think the S would walk pretty easy....nice run!

i think equal powered S vs. 335, S would definitely win, as long as it's in the right gear
i had more power and less weight than the 335, it had a lot more tq

he actually might not if you had the right N/a bolt-ons/mods.

this was about 2-3yrs back.. 30mph-110mph
weighing in at 2680 at the time; work emo CR(heavier vs stock), ARC intake/chamber, spoon N1 exhaust no test pipe.
stock 335i vs MY01.
i got him on this run, he got me on 3.
it was always close though 30-100 !
