They can run 13.2's stock but that means you gotta take out most of the interior and the tailgate saw it in muscle mustangs and fast fords when the 380hp lightning first came out

I've only seen one lightning at the track. Newer one... He ran low 13's all day long and he was bone stock. I know the last gen Lightnings were slower though.

ill give you the lighting, with the right driver you can get the jump off the whole and keep the distance for sometime.... but who are you kidding about an SRT-10?

EDIT - Oh, I misread your post, I thought you meant that the SRT-10 was slow and a stock S2000 could keep up ... haha. I re-read and realize what you mean now though...

The SRT-10 is a 500hp (albeit heavy) beast ... It handles like crap (I mean, it is a truck), but 1/4 mile times is where the SRT-10 is made to live. C&D got some shitty times and put down a 4.9s 0-60 and 13.6s @ 105mph 1/4 mile. There have been slips of 12.8-12.9 @ 106mph 1/4 miles for the SRT-10.

1/4 mile time

If you think the lightning is fast as a drag racer ... the SRT-10 should be faster (stock for stock).

Not something you should be messing with in a stock S2K unless you're going through the twisties ...

I'd never buy one cuz they're hardly usable as a truck, and made mostly for drag racing ... which you could do in a similarly priced Z06 and still have the handling. But you gotta give them respect for being pretty fast.

werd... a buddy at work has one and runs consistent low/mid 13's. He's done a butt load to it though. I don't know what he ran stock.

possible the SRT-10 either started late, launched bad, or something to that effect. FWIW he was pulling on me most of the way.

The craziest thing are these rednecks with huge trucks, and on the back the bumper sticker reads "I am not tailgaiting, I am drafting"....these people are out of there minds...they should stick to towing and forget about racing
