Default trip to dallas: z28 LS1 vs ws6 LS1(full bolt ons)vs wrx(stageIV)

i know i don't have the s2000 anymore and some of you don't care to hear about anything that doesn't involve an f20c laying the smackdown.. but figured some of ya'll might find these races interesting.

first match up was vs my friends ws6 full bolt on.. he had lid, hooker long tubes, exhuast he was trapping at 109 at the track..

z28 vs full bolt on ws6
did a few highway runs.. 60 to 100 just going through 3rd gear.. pulled a length and 1/2 on him.. steady pull.. same result each time.. tried second gear run.. same result.. had to shut down before toppping out 3rd so couldn't see how much i'd pulled.. it would of been at least 2.

later that day.. meet up w/ some of the locals in ft worth.. this modded wrx wanted to run my friends ws6.. they ran..

ws6 vs modded wrx
i told him not to launch cause he was just going to spin.. going off idle.. he still span till 3rd.. and lost to the wrx.. it was only enough room.. to run 1/8th mile.. so it was perfect for a wrx in cold weather.. lol

they tried again.. same result.. owned by lack of traction.. so then the guy w/ the wrx who was obviously on cloud 9.. walked up and asked me to run after that.. after enough taunting and peer pressure.. i hopped in the car... let it warm up a little.. did a practice run off idle.. car was loving the cold weather.. just eased into the throttle still broke loose around 30.. as usual lol.. forgot to roll my windows up.. had papers from the back seat flying into the front seat .. whipping around..

z28 vs wrx
line up w/ the wrx.. take off.. roll out a bit and got to anxious hit the gas in 1st and spun the tires pretty bad n' got a lil squirrely.. nailed 2nd and back end steps out.. nice chirp and takes off.. run down the rex.. and mid 3rd gear pass him like he's parked
damn kumhos

after i get headers i'm gonna hit the track i'm curious to see what my trap speed is..

i give the wrx props it managed to launch pretty well.. they said it was running mid 13 w/ his mods

mid - high 13s is easily achievable with just chip/exhaust which I believe is a stage 0 or I package.

A stage IV package would give 911 turbos a good race.

Here's a little summary on one of the most popular WRX tuner's stage package system:

http://www.vishnutuning.com/stage.htm

Their Stage III is running 11.8

Their Stage 0 is easy mid 13s.

nice.

my ls1 w/ $400 in mods should be trapping 110+ right now.. looks like i'll need a bit more to hang w/ that stage 3 w/ 5k or so invested.. 11.8@117 being the most optimistic time posted.. guess i'll see how i do w/ the next couple of mods.. trying for 400rwhp on motor
