People are going to street race and drive at excessive speeds, fine, I accept that as a fact of life and on occassion I do it too. However, please don't tell me you're well educated or trained for it, because chances are you really aren't.

Frankly, the more time I spend on the track the less I want to speed on public roads. There is no thrill in it compared to track driving (and especially wheel to wheel racing) and driving lap after lap at the limit makes you realize how little it takes to up bad on public roads where the people around you don't know what you or they are doing.

Lecture over, this is a street racing forum and this sort of stuff will be posted. But let's not fool ourselves. Going 150 mph with any traffic is something that I think I can say no one on this board is sufficiently prepared for.

Why is this thread, which is MORE THAN ONE YEAR OLD, brought back to life?

D-oh! I didn't even notice the year, only the October part of the date. Why do old threads pop up like this?

Supra Quick, One of my friends girlfriends has a place in Palmetto Dunes and last time I went down there, everytime I would pass that same place right before the expressway on the overpass thing, there would be cops sitting there. Must be a bad place. Good drivin though, I guess??

firesauce300zx must have been bored as hell to have rummaged through a year's worth of threads. I didn't realize it was a year old until you mentioned it.
