<cough cough> I'm so freakin' sick. It's 7:40 PM and I just rolled out of bed.
The C5 (automatic) had a stock motor, but had a final gear...as you can tell...that really helped! The MR2 was fast, nothing to add to that. As for the S4, it's a guy that hangs out with the VW/Audi club, and he wanted to run me. I don't turn anyone down.

The C5 is an Automatic with Zero Horsepower modifications. The motor is 100% STOCK. It does have an aftermarket torque converter (which makes little difference on the freeway runs) and a 3.15 rear end gear (which is a stock gear).
This particular C5 is strongest from a dead stop. The freeway runs are not it's strong suit, but as you can see it certainly manages to hold it's own against a K04 swapped S4 and a SC'd Stook. I think the Stook and the S4 would do slightly better if they made another run, but the rate of speed with which the C5 was pulling in 3rd makes me believe that the outcome would be the same. When Z gets his clutch swapped and a tank of race gas with the race program loaded up they are going to run again, possibly with a different outcome.
Wes had already made NUMEROUS passes and should he had probably heatsoaked the SC pretty good by the time he ran with the S4 and the C5. I think running after a cooling down period would have helped a great deal.
