Default stop in front of red light

when i stop in front of red light, if i step fully in clutch and brake and use first gear , will it hurt the clutch wear?

keeping the clutch depressed, while leaving the car in gear at a stop will not 'wreck' your car perse...

any time you have pressure on the clutch pedal, you put pressure on the throw-out berring. You will be wearing your car, but not wrecking it.
