Doesn't have to have an upgraded turbo to destroy you that bad. My friends WRX has crazy mods, but stock turbo (pushing around 18psi) and he is in the high 12's. Stock vs Stock though, that's another story

stock for stock the S2000 is considerably quicker.

- downpipe, up-pipe, exhaust, boost controller and I think that would put it to the par with the S2000.
- turbo upgrade, intercooler and STi injectors....bye bye S2K

Wrong, the boost controller alone puts it beyond the S2000.
A close friend of mine pulled 13.7@98 with just a boost controller and some intake restrictions removed.
The boost controller let him run 15psi in all gears - stock setup doesn't allow full boost in 1st or 2nd gear from what I understand - as opposed to the 14.X psi of a stock WRX.

If you do all the mods on your list then its a mid 12s car - bye, bye stock Corvette/M3/911/etc.
Thank you, someone with some sense

I know that I was the fastest MBC'ed and Intake cutout WRX in Austin. I have numerous 13.7 timeslips to back it up. Maybe I'm your friend? My highest trap ever was 98.

The fastest stock turbo WRX runs 13.0 at 101. Its cheaper to go with a new turbo than to do all the mods on a stock turbo.

Most people go with the TXS Stage 4 and timeslips are in the mid to high 12's. And it does come with a *new* TURBO.

Hey, but again, what do I know, I only owned one for over a year....

I wonder why I pulled on one of the only 2 yellow WRX's in Austin who had "all the mods" and a STOCK turbo when my S2000 had 1000 miles on it... I must be living in some fantasy world...
