well i really don't know much about c5's or any dosmestic for that matter. Im still wondering if he was sandbaging cause of the way the race turned out. Also he claims that options make a car stock. He said he only had exhaust and that it was an option from Chevy? He says that he takes options as the car being stock. That being said if you buy oz rally lancer and you have then put the evo 8 turbo kit and all the aero dymanic pieces its a stock oz rally lancer.(of course according to him) He said that if anything he got 3whp out of that, it still remains though its modded from my assumption. He even said if i have an intake after the race i will lose cause that will make my car modified.(anyone here confused like me?) all that said this is what happened, we took off and i was ahead 1,2,3,4 and then on 5th he creeps up very slowly and then when the mile maker is like within 2sec range in one sec he pulls a car on me. (NOS ???) dont know much about V8's but if you are at full throttle you do not have vtec so there should be no power surge that great that you can pull on a blink when it took you hell to catch up. My idea is he was either sandbaging trying to make it close so that i dont know he is modded or he had nos. For the record i ve raced stock c5 with 2 car advantage am beaten them by almost a full car on a full mile race. Oh yeah we blew by the trooper at 14X+mph.

having had a 98 Corvette with auto and 2.73 gears(the slowest C5 built, the 3.15 optional gearing with auto and 3.43 gearing with Manual are quicker) there's NO way that a stock S2000 will be ahead of a properly driven C5 for any amount of time at all..

by the time a S2000 hits 100 mph, the C5 will be closer to 110 mph.. and will rapidly open the gap till the C5 hits it's top speed of about 175 mph...

Also, there's NO optional exhaust offered by Chevrolet for the C5.. the only different exhaust that's offered is the titanium exhaust on the Z06..

So he was lying about the exhaust? if so ill have to speak to him next week about that. I know at the very least the car had an exhaust and the sound on it was not normal after the race. You also have to keep in mind the kid driving the c5 is not someone who i think can push the c5 to its limits, being that im 2 cars advantage he will need a good launch to catch me before 4th gear. What is the stock c5 1/4 times and traps, anyone?

i will also add that he was no way near 175mph at least not in a one mile span from a stop. I was somewhere around 142mph as i had just shifted to 6th gear.

and no i dont know what of the trooper road twisted a bit right after him and at 140+ i doubt he bother wat was he going to do chase us
